Playing with the improved Digest solution listed here: http://blog.econtech.selfip.org/2008/10/connecting-google-reader-and-wordpress-digest-mode-aka-daily-links-ala-delicious/ .
Still need to tweak it some, and hopefully it’s actually working, not just flooding something at the first runtime. I so like this idea to store these links in the blog itself.
Hasn’t triggered off again, even as I’ve tweaked the time it should. Hrm.
Article suggests routing through FeedBurner, to get actual RSS rather than Atom feeds (as WordPress’s MagpieRSS doesn’t handle Atom well, or so the articles say). Based on http://sowinglight.com/2008/11/showing-google-reader-feeds-on-a-wordpress-sidebar/ I’ve tweaked the FeedBurner settings appropriately. All should be well … if the damned thing would fire off!
Things to tweak (once I get it working):
1. Datestamp in the title — include date and a less-US-centric format. (I see where to do this.)
2. The formatting of the entries is goofed up — not sure if that’s the Feedburner translation or what. It’s also not grabbing the post comments I’ve put in, which it should. Rather, I see the code that should be working (but which is not).
(The ostensible ability to pull in the GReader comments is one of the things that makes this plug-in so terribly attractive.)
(Mutters to self, annoyed at own ignorance.)
