- Lazy-hazy day, plotting future redecoration, Hawaii plans, trying to find opportunities to relax. #
- Colorado wine-tasting party was low-attendance, high-fun. Conclusion: Colo makes good fruit / dessert / port, but mediocre Merlot. #
- Good wine and leftovers in tummy, Daily Show on TV – only problem is tomorrow is Monday, alas. #

Or, written correctly: The last item makes me think that Twitter might be a good medium for Haiku . . . .
Self editing FTW!!!
Twitter for haiku.
I’m sure there’s a group for that.
They don’t say a lot.
You’re going to Hawaii? If you’re on Oahu, be sure to go snorkeling in Hanauma Bay!
We’re going to be on Kaua’i. Though I’m sure they do snorkeling there.
The two places I know of to go snorkeling on Kauai are Ke’e Beach on the northwest side of the island (last beach before the Kalalau trail), and Poipu Beach State Park.
I’ve been to Kauai many times over the years, so if you have questions, let me know. I might be able to answer them. I’m more familiar with the south side of Kauai (Poipu Beach area) since that’s were we always stay. The south side tends to have more sun and less rain. It’s less tropically lush than the north side, but my family tends to prefer warm dry weather for going to the beach, and the island is small enough that we can drive around to the north side for a day trip without too much trouble.
I believe we are staying in Poipu, in fact. This is in December, and the idea was that sunnier-less-wet was probably better than the reverse.
I will likely pick your brains at some point about it. 🙂
