Java Jive, or, “No Tea Party for Me”

With all due respect to those who entertain different political and economic ideas, I do not feel particularly put upon, tyrannized, nor conspired against by the current Administration. I do not feel, in these troubled times, “Taxed Enough Already,” nor do I wish to support the machinations of Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, nor the various Astro-turf organizations egging on the tea-party folks. Nor do I think I am alone in this.

I will therefore, though I am regularly a tea drinker, make a point tomorrow to drink solely coffee. No tea party for me.

I may, in fact, instead stimulate the economy (and pay additional sales taxes to my local socialistic community) by drinking coffee, not from the office break room, but from the plethora of Starbucks, Peets, Daz Bogs, Caribous, Peaberries, and other coffee shops around my office.
