So… Gay marriage is gaining acceptance, and more states are explicitly making it legal. This indicates a need for a Federal law making it illegal?

Of course! If the states are doing the wrong thing, we need to stand up as a nation and stop them! Unless it’s the nation standing up and doing the wrong thing, in which case states have the right to make their own decisions!
