Yeah, read about that weeks ago, I am hopping that Republic ups their bid to take over Frontier since Southwest sucks.
I disagree with your assessment of Southwest. I’ve found my flying experience on SW to be better that that of most other airlines in the past few years. Frontier, notably, has been an exception to that, also giving better service than the larger carriers.
(Note that “better” airline service is hardly anything to cheer about. “Less obnoxious, irritating, inconvenient, infurating” might be a better way to put it.)
It’s not clear to me that Republic can maintain the Frontier brand and that quality in a way that’s profitable, if Frontier was unable to do so. I’d hate to see the Frontier brand (and animals) go away, but …
