- Religious freedom is self-contradictory? – No, it’s not — as long as people are willing to see religion as a personal, not societal, structure. My personal salvation doesn’t depend on my neighbor’s. We can get along quite nicely even if he and I disagree about metaphysics and theology — unless one or the other of us demand the other’s adherence to their own beliefs.
- Teens think blogging is about as cool as Rick Astley hits – “Hey, you kids! Get off my social media!” No, seriously, no surprises here. Blogging takes a focused, concerted effort. Kids (not just these days but any days) go for minimum effort, maximum social cool. Facebook is easy, and provides a creative outlet inside an authoritarian structure — it’s not surprising teens are all over FB, vs. the less structured (and thus, paradoxically, more effortful) Twitter.
