**As a baseball is to NERF, this hail was to regular hail, it moved about like the little styrafoam beads.
Hey, our hail always looks like styrofoam balls. It’s really fun when we get so much hail that it actually looks like a dusting of snow.
If I understand him correctly, I think the frozen precipitation BD saw is graupel.
