Links (most recent first) that caught my eye, but did not warrant full-blown blog entries ….
- Journalism, standards, and telephones – I don't think there's nearly that hard and fast a line between "journalism" and "comedy" — but it sure strikes me that "The Daily Show" often shows more insight (and research) than "Fox & Friends" — and the latter is often more laughable (as a news show) than the former.
- Climate bill hangs by a thread – I can understand why Graham might be cheesed, but it seems like such a counter-productive move that I have to wonder if that’s the real reason he’s backing off.
- Company launches neighbour-to-neighbour car rental scheme – A very interesting idea, but I don’t buy that it wouldn’t influence your insurance rates (at least from aggregate mileage on the car), or that it won’t be considered a factor for insurance rates in the future.
- Look at Sick People to Give Your Immune System a Boost – Health – Lifehacker – The mind-body relationship never fails to amaze me.
- Michael Steele Acknowledges GOP Had “Southern Strategy” For Decades – It would be ironic if the thing that finally gets Michael Steele booted out is his pointing out the truth.

Do we need to coin a new word or phrase for whatever it is that Jon Stewart does? Here are some candidates: Journady, Comalism, Stewartalism, Stewartedy, Jonalism, Jonedy. Those are all pretty sad. Maybe the old word works: satire!
