Unblogged Bits (Fri. 2-Jul-10 0800)

Links (most recent first) that caught my eye, but did not warrant full-blown blog entries ….

  1. Good news in the U.K. as doctors vote to drop homeopathy funding from the NHS. – Good show, old beans! Nothing like actual science and empirical medicine to show the old gamey leg what’s what, eh?
  2. The play area of your local McDonald’s is not the place to masturbate while looking at porn. – Not even if they have free Wi-Fi.
  3. “Hear the Lamentation of the Women!” – I have a deep, quiet love for the hokey goodness of the Arnold Conan flicks. This only adds to that.
  4. Seagate ships 3 TB drives – I know future generatinos (or folks of 5 years from now) will laugh but … 3 Tb?! Yeesh! Whatever could one do with so much storage? (Followed by Dave wanting to rip all of his DVDs onto the drive and make it accessible through his TV …)
  5. A Lopsided Witness List – Well, we all know that ideology trumps reality when you’re talking about the Right.
  6. Jeff Sessions Comes Out Against Ideas – Ideas are bad! Judges should stick their fingers in their ears and shout la-la-la-I-can’t-hear-you! That’s what makes America great!

  1. How would you make your hard drive accessible through your TV? I have heard of gizmos that contain hard drives and connect to the TV, but I got the impression that you are talking about a drive still in your computer. Can you do that?
