Links (most recent first) that caught my eye, but did not warrant full-blown blog entries ….
- Saudi Arabian intervention in Bahrain driven by visceral Sunni fear of Shias – The Kingdoms of the Gulf are, in the long run, ensuring their own overthrow, creating a self-fulfilling prophecy of bloody extremism to follow. And, of course, the US (big oil customer, big arms provider to the region) will remain silent.
- AT&T to Acquire T-Mobile USA For $39 Billion – While I suspect this will be good for AT&T (added customers, some better tech to leverage against complaints, fewer competitors), I suspect the opposite will be true for US mobile consumers. That leaves us with a significantly largest AT&T, Verizon, then Sprint somewhere far behind.
