Unblogged Bits (Mon. 2-May-11 1130)

Links (most recent first) that caught my eye, but did not warrant full-blown blog entries ….

  1. FLASHBACK: Bush On Bin Laden: ‘I Really Just Don’t Spend That Much Time On Him’ – No great surprise that Fox & Friends is crediting Dubya with "getting" OBL.
  2. Brody: Obama Is “Catering To Thugs” Because He Didn’t Gloat Enough In Annoucing Bin Laden’s Death – Yes, we should stop catering to thugs. Starting with David Brody.
  3. Tea Party Nation: Obama Only Killed Bin Laden To Help His Reelection – Wow. And I was thinking that maybe some folks were going a scosh over the line with untoward celebration. Dolt.
  4. What David Sirota said. – Yeah, I was beginning to feel this way last night. This was one man, and celebrating the death of one man (whose death doesn’t end the treat by any means) in such a way is of dubious propriety and, in fact, says something rather unpleasant, something that causes people to cheer for waterboarding and the like. Vengeful joy is understandable, but it’s a very slippery slope.
  5. Response From The Right – Yes, well what else would one expect from folks commenting at Michelle Malkin’s site — graciousness? intelligence? reality?
  6. Taking it Personally – Ah, the party of life, of personal responsibility, of law and order … strikes again.

  1. On Item #6, it would seem that a political candidate stumping door to door would be fair game to shoot at if he/she stepped onto my property.
