How neat is that! Spending your birthday on an adventurous trip…I am envious in the extreme.

It’s been a bit disruptive for her (esp. since she had to miss 5th Grade Continuation), but she seems to have been comforted by the copious gelato …

Being in a K-8 Catholic school in Albuquerque for 6&7th grades did me out of a 6th grade camping trip & that continuation (if they had them then, can’t recall), but had one for 9th. I remember being done out of a summer school session at 14 because we made a long cross country road trip.

Arthur opted out of his 7th gr. continuation, but will be attending his HS graduation if he knows what’s good for him. Don’t think there was a 5th gr. continuation, but he just wanted out and away from that teacher, and I can’t blame him for it.

J D #Vance is trying to draw a weird line between "public policy" and "matters of #morality," claiming that the #Pope should stick to his lane in only commenting about the latter.

Given that the Right has insisted that *all* public policy should be driven by their morality for as long as I can remember, and that #Trump and his minions have constantly painted the #Iran war as blessed by God, Vance's suggestion doesn't even pass the laugh test.
