Dodd-Frank via Schoolhouse Rock

As a fan of both The Daily Show and Schoolhouse Rock, this TDS piece on the travails of the Dodd-Frank Bill (Financial Reform bill that barely passed Congress, and which has been savaged since by the GOP and only lightly defended by the Democrats) is outrageously good.  I laughed. A lot.

  1. Whoever wrote the songs for that bit did an exceptional job of making them sound like actual Schoolhouse Rock episodes. (I thought of you when I watched that show, knowing how much you still enjoy those.)

  2. That was what made it so hysterical. I mean, the general humor was the bittersweetness that marks The Daily Show, but the picking and choosing from actual SR tunes to imitate was sheer genius in execution.
