This 1950ish advert for how cool TV is for kids seems a bit bizarre on the face of it, but it's not completely beyond the pale. We have just one TV in the house, and (a) homework gets done before it goes on, and (b) we do indeed spend some good quality time around it. #ddtb

When I was a kid, we watched National Geographic specials, Walter Cronkite, Mutual of Omaha Wild Kingdom, Jacques Cousteau specials… and Rocky and Bullwinkle. So I don't think television hurt me much.
Reminds me of the cigarette ads that told you four out of five doctors recommended Lucky Strikes…
