Will this mean that Obama won't cave compromise (again)?

Hard to tell. But the US Catholic Bishops might have lost their best bargaining opportunity. If they'd waited until Obama offered such a compromise, then declared it unacceptable, I'm sure he'd have compromised still further. Now, just maybe, he won't even try. #ddtb
