After the long litany of complaints from conservatives that anyone accused of terrorism has to be thrown into a military clink and handled by dubiously legal (and not terribly effective) military tribunals — well, lookie here, we've got a terrorist who was tried, convicted, and is now serving a life term, all through a civilian court.
