It's a looooong way to November

But these are (to me) encouraging numbers. Whereas a year ago, there was a higher percentage of Republicans excited about the fall election, as of the last PPP poll, that's swung over to a large (11 point) Dem "very excited" advantage. That's both from more Dems and fewer GOPers being "very excited".

I have to think, ironically, that it's been the GOP primaries that have led to this. The irony part is that primaries usually enthuse the party, while the other team lags because the news cycles aren't involving them.

Still, it's seven months. There's plenty of time for the "very excited" numbers (which lead to both higher giving and larger turnout at the polls) to further change. But, knock on wood … #ddtb
