Memmmmmmory … like the core rope of your mind

I'd never heard of core rope memory before (more http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Core_rope_memory), but it's fascinating stuff, as is this effort to collect source code and documentation from the Apollo and Gemini programs.

For those of us who were around back then, it's astonishing how (relatively) crude the tech was.
