I love my wife. Somehow, someway, despite all odds, despite all all warnings from the Far Right … my marriage doesn't feel any way lessened, confused, unholy, or damaged by the President of the United States saying that he believes that gays should be able to marry.
And if anyone's does — I suggest, courteously, that there's something wrong with their understanding of marriage.

When I read that on the last page, I, too, saw and heard Peter Cook in the Princess Bride.
And it really bugs me when people talking about “traditional” marriage have no idea how many kinds of “traditional” marriages there have been in the world, throughout the centuries.
@Marina – Nonsense! Tradition is whatever I’m comfortable with in the present, because obviously the wiser, holier folks of the of the past did and believed just what I do! Or should have, and that’s close enough for me to condemn the perverts and anarchists of the present.
