Barrack Obama, on his decision, as a "practicing Christian," to support gay marriage: "Obviously this position may be considered to put us at odds with the views of others but, you know, when we think about our faith, the thing at root that we think about is, not only Christ sacrificing himself on our behalf, but it’s also the Golden Rule, you know, treat others the way you would want to be treated. And I think that’s what we try to impart to our kids and that’s what motivates me as president and I figure the most consistent I can be in being true to those precepts, the better I’ll be as a as a dad and a husband and hopefully the better I’ll be as president."
Matt Barber, attorney for the Liberty Counsel, columnist at the Washington Times, TownHall, and WorldNetDaily, on Twitter: '"Gay" marriage is sin, sterile, un-Biblical & mocks God. Obama, how dare you cite Christianity to support your politically driven flip-flop.' https://twitter.com/#!/jmattbarber/status/200365037750190080

Matt Barber says that making institutions obey the law regarding health care coverage is the same as forcing people to kill their families. Like someone holding a gun to your head and saying, “see that family member of yours, that uncle, that individual, you must kill them or I am going to kill the rest of your family.”
Do I think that Matt Barber ever sounds like Jesus? No. In fact, the phrase “whitened sepulchre” comes to mind.
@Ellie – I think the phrase “I am Legion” comes more to my mind, to be honest.
Matt Barber is a hate merchant.
Yes. But he speaks with the confidence of a man who is sure that Jesus is right there, giving him the thumbs-up.
I strongly doubt his confidence. I suspect he is motivated by something other than faith.
I'll decline to speculate on his motivations. But his actions and words surely suck.
