Granted this is based on a handful of questions (and pretty unnuanced questions at that). And granted that there are more than two parties in this country (though not effectively so). And granted that there are more dimensions to political ideology than a single one. And granted that each party contains tons of contradictions within itself …
I find it remarkable that I came up as way-fringe-Liberal Democrat, because, man, I know way-fringe-Liberal Democrats and I don't think of myself as one of them (and I clicked on a lot of "somewhat agree/disagree" choices, too).

Interesting snapshot. I got the same answer. I think I would have floated to the middle if they asked about gun control, and the death penalty, but swung right back to liberal if they had asked about food safety, the prison system, or the military.

I consider myself a central person, but at the same time the only "Party" I side with is the USA. I support country over foolish politics. (That makes it sounds as if my foreign policy would be "screw em, but I believe that foreign relations are VERY important. Imagine what would have happened if we didn't work together with the Allies of WWII?)
Edit: Just did the quiz and I'm pretty far left according to it. On Economics, I'm left but close to center. Social issues, all the way left. Like falling off the edge haha. I am not surprised by that.
I came out "Very Conservative" and, like Dave, was a bit surprised as I don't consider myself 'far right'.
Besides being slanted, it seemed very poorly written, which surprised me even more. The first question, for example, was "There needs to be stricter laws and regulations to protect the environment." Shouldn't this be "There need to be…"?
So my conclusion on the survey is that by selecting specifically polarizing questions (some slanted, some not), they are going to drive respondents to one side or the other for the most part.
How odd, I got the very same position as the pic above, but at least that is where I expected to end up.
Dave, I too came out as “way-fringe-Liberal Democrat”, and there were simplistic polarizing statements to which, for me, there are seldom simple answers.
Joel, I agree: it is very poorly written. I hate to think of the times I’ve corrected pollsters…
