Yes, being required to park an aisle away from the terminal because you're neither handicapped nor riding in a carpool van is just like being segregated to the back of the bus for folks who refuse to be swindled by so-called "climate change" hucksters. Ditto being restricted from car pool lanes.
Crikey. Entitled/angry much?

Wow – there's some kind of deeply burning stupid here. You see, because carpool vans get to park closer to the terminal, he now knows "what it was like to be a black citizen in the South during Jim Crow".

The new segregation
Recently, I returned from a week of mission work in Guatemala. Although very poor, the people are friendly, industrious and almost always have a smile on their faces, even when their stomachs are em…

I am not exactly stupid. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering backed up with a forty-two year career.
If he thinks that a BS in mechanical engineering qualifies him as a climatologist, he may, in fact, be stupid. His degree means only that he passed some community college courses, and does not guarantee that he is not stupid. It certainly does not grant him expert status in fields other than mechanical engineering.
Yet, because I do not subscribe to the alchemy drivel put forth by so-called scientists concerning the subjects of global warming, climate change and so forth, I am now a second-class citizen, relegated to inferior facilities.
I do subscribe to that “alchemy drivel” and have the same “second-class” status as Mr. Thompson. His views do not single him out for persecution. For that matter, why isn’t he railing against airline seating? The “47%” he claims to be so concerned about are relegated “inferior facilities” on a regular basis. And what about smokers? Oh, wait, they can’t be used to support his beliefs, so they effectively do not exist.
The ridicule, catcalls, unfair labeling and so forth that one experiences when they are on the wrong side of a mob’s beliefs are interesting.
Seriously? He is subjected to catcalls? Under what circumstances? His parking in a non-vanpool spot hardly identifies him as a climate change denier. Furthermore, he engages in unfair labeling in his article (“alchemy drivel,” “so-called scientists,” etc.). I seem to be on the wrong side of his mob’s beliefs!
Just once, I would like to see a climate change denier avoid logical fallacies. I might actually be swayed by arguments that aren’t just the smoke and mirrors of thinly veiled appeals to emotion.
Hear, hear, @Avo.
I will stack my liberal arts BA in History against his BS in Mechanical Engineering any day when it comes to climate change — because I can at least demonstrated that at one point, X decades ago, I had to demonstrate some level of skill in critical thinking.
I think he was using “catcalls” metaphorically — in the sense that he has to take a “walk of shame” all the way from the non-vanpool parking stalls an aisle over, the imagined mocking laughter of liberal elites ringing in his ears …
