The Curious Strength of the House GOP White Caucus

Now, to be completely fair, a lot of factors go into committee chairmanship (seniority being a big one).  So I seriously doubt that the House GOP leadership intentionally picked an all-white, all-male set of committee chairs (esp. since that describes 90% of their number). Nor would I necessarily want to see some "token" effort to throw a woman or minority just for the sake of doing so.

That said, it's still pretty amusing. Or irritating. Or telling. Or all three.

A pretty lucid/logical reaction to getting curb stomped by the most diverse coalition of voters this country has ever seen.

Like putting the Falcon on the roster of the government-sanctioned Avengers?

[Trivia question for Dave: Which issue was that?]*

*It’s my favorite issue of The Avengers. Michelinie, Byrne, and Day FTW!

    1. Don’t recall the specific issue, I’m afraid, though that was a good time. Busiek revisited that theme, @Avo, on his/Perez’ Avengers run, too. Hmmmmm … whatever happened to Triathalon?
