And looking at the awful pamphlet from the Ruth Institute on the subject, it's hard to argue he's wrong.
The War on Same-Sex Marriage Is a War on Adoption
We have never thought of our marriage as anything but pleasing to anyone who cared to judge it, and have never imagined that the sanctity of our marriage might threaten the sanctity of other marriages…

All this talk about how same-sex marriages are bad for the children, and nothing about single-parent households. I dare say the latter is harder on children (and I speak as one of three children of a single mother). Perhaps divorce should be next on the Supreme Court's docket!
The RR and their political conservative cronies have been more than happy to bash single parents (esp. single mothers) as signs of moral decay and turpitude and eeeevil … all produced by such things as gay rights and the Pill and women’s suffrage (it’s always the woman’s fault, you realize). Most of them won’t quite go so far as to condemn divorce — waaaaay too many of them have taken that path themselves to stand the cognitive dissonance — but many would argue for divorce laws to be strengthened (asymmetrically), and certainly most would encourage a woman who’s been divorced to immediately go out and find a good (Christian) man to take care of her and, more important, the presumed children that she is taking care of (if she’s not taking care of the children, then she’s a hussy and deserves eternity in the Fiery Furnace).
