Movie previews before "Star Trek"

When we went to see Star Trek: Into Darkness the other night, here is what we saw trailers for:- Mortal Instruments: City of Bones – Because I guess something had to pick up the audience the Twilight franchise left behind when it ended.

Hunger Games: Catching Fire – Having read the book series, I have nigh-zero interest.

Thor: The Dark World – Whatever happened to sequels with numbers?  Jeez.  Anyway, yeah, I’m there, even if it’s the same trailer we’ve had for a few months.

Elysium – I’m sure Star Trek TOS’s “The Cloud Minders”  wasn’t the first to play with this theme of “The 1% Live In the Sky Over The Proles” in SF. It clearly, 45 years later, wasn’t the last.  Ho-hum.

Anchorman 2 – At last! A number! Unfortunately, not something I have the least interest in.

301 …. er, wait, 300: Rise of an Empire – And a number, but not representing the sequel.  Also, no. I watched the original, and really have little interest in an adaptation of Miller’s sequel.

So … wow, that’s 1 out of 6.  Not promising.
