The Honor Is All Hers

So Kay got inducted into the National Junior Honor Society this evening at her middle school. To qualify, you not only need to pull a 3.8 GPA, but demonstrate some community service and get recommendations from multiple faculty members.

While the pomp and circumstances were a bit over the top, it was still a nicely brief ceremony.  And some nice fodder, looking ahead, for college application time in a few years …

And, all that aside, we're proud of her.  Well done, Kay!

  1. I don't remember, either. And, with everything else going on in our schedules, trotting down to the school for a couple of hours (all told) last night felt a bit much, esp. when you throw in a Candle Poem and an endless array of (mercifully short) speeches.

On the other and, it's a pretty cool achievement, and as part of the NJHS she'll be doing some service projects, which will be pretty cool, too.  So, in sum, small investment of time to show how proud we are.
