Choosing a Super Power

1. I'd take any of these, honestly.

2. If offered a choice I would feel morally obligated to take Pink and then find work in an ER.

3. Outside that moral obligation, I'd probably select Yellow (because telepathy is cool) or Grey (because I'm lazy).

4. I would rather not choose Blue or Orange without also being able to choose Red.

  1. For each of these, I couldn’t help but think of the unstated limitations that might go with them. For example, “you have the power to become invisible, but every sound you make is magnified 1000 times when you are invisible.” Or “you have the ability to fly, but you can only travel at 5mph.” Or “you have the ability to shape shift into any non-extict animal, but not the ability to shift back.” Etc.

The trouble with pink is that I think many fundamentalists would take you to be the 2nd coming of Christ and would proceed to make your life miserable.

  2. Grey/TK is tempting but Pink/Healing, if you could heal old wounds and particularly if you could grow parts back, would be fantastic. Though you’d very quickly need a squad of bodyguards to keep the cartels (and many others), from grabbing you.

  3. Yeah — I guess it would depend on what flight speed you could achieve. Jets are usually in the 300-400mph range. If you could only pull 100mph, that would make flying the long way around for a lot of destinations.

Though it would be nice for morning commutes.

  4. I always thought that the superpower set I would want is the Invisible Woman's, because invisibility and force fields would make me unstoppable. Just a few weeks ago I realized that I could go for Super-Skrull and get the rest of the FF's powers along with the Skrull shape-shifting ability!
    😀

    Given the limitations above… Hmm…

I spend a lot of time driving, and I frequently regret not having TK to deal with aggressive drivers. I suppose I could also become the best roulette player in the world. Grey for me, I guess.
