Apparently you can use quantum mechanics to resolve the Grandfather Paradox, i.e., you travel into the past, kill your grandfather, and thus prevent yourself from being born (in which case, nobody traveled into the past to kill your grandfather (in which case, etc.)).
I'm going to vote in favor, just because time travel and parallel universe SF stories are so much fun.
