September and October have been wild and wooly months, with +Kay Hill back in school and learning, as freshman band parents, the All-Consuming Extracurricular Which Is Marching Band.
So it's great that, as those months are passing by and we're headed into November, we'll have a chance to have a calm, relaxing, leisurely month, regenerating strength and catching up with things left undone and overall getting over the whole Bataan Death March of September-October. Right? Right?
Oh. Yeah. National Novel Writing Month ( #nanowrimo ). Sigh.
And the crazy thing is, I'm looking at the calendar for November, and it's already nucking futs …
Ah, well … if it were easy, I'd do it every month, right?
On the bright side, I already have what I'm writing this year outlined out — the second half of my second Donne & Donne novel. First half was last year's project. I don't think I have 30 days / 50K words of stuff left in the outline — but once done, I can dive into editing (which, given the feedback I've received on the first novel over the past year, will be a fairly consuming task as well).
Anyway, I just hope it works out better than for this guy …

Don’t forget the little construction project starting next month.
🙂
QUIET, WOMAN! YOU ARE FURTHER HARSHING MY ALREADY NOT-MELLOW!
Whoa. So many negative vibes, Moriarty.
