What "effect" is it that has "occurred," Tony? What does "no-go" mean to you? How is "Sharia" being "imposed"? In what specific "places" is this happening? Have you, like "Le Petit Journal," sent crews in to film the Sharia horror of those "places" in Dearborn and Minneapolis? How less "clear cut" is it than the nonsensical "no-go" zones of Britain and France?

Speaking as somebody who not only grew up in Dearborn, and went to a 50% Lebanese high school, but who is working there now, I can tell you that there are some MAJOR considerations here:
1. There are a plethora of Lebanese restaurants, some of which are quite tasty.
2. There is an amazing arab museum on Michigan Avenue, and some great festivals
3. There is a (beautiful) mosque next to the other three churches in the middle of town.
4. My high school, which still makes the playoffs most years, agreed to VERY early practices to help the players who were observing Ramadan. (See documentary Fordson: Faith, Football and Fasting )
So…yeah…oppression and stuff 🙂

+Greg Stockton is spot on. I live in the area of Dearborn and have several friends that live in the city. Its a safe and enjoyable city. People are paranoid about a very small minority of religious wackos.
