Really, Apple?
(By the way, "Okay, Google" answers the question just fine, routing over to Wikipedia and pulling up the appropriate page. The answer, as it happens, was Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean.")
Siri won’t answer some questions if you’re not subscribed to Apple Music
If you want Siri to answer your questions about the top songs on the charts, you’ll need to sign up for Apple Music first. Users online, including Pandora co-creator and angel investor Tom Conrad,…
Wow, that sucks
Not surprising. Apple continues to be a money-grubbing, greedy company.
That's what you get for buying into the greediest company in the world.
When Siri starts hustling! Imagine you are lost and ask for directions to get back home… Siri recognizes the desperation in your voice and by measuring your pulse with Apple watch and the balance on your Apple Pay account knows exactly what amount you would pay for her to let you use the Uber app.
Google Now tells me is "Billie Jean" by Michael Jackson.
I am waiting for the Apple fanboys to justify this.
Lol
"OK Google…."
While Apple is infamously walled-garden in its outlook, this seems grossly counter-productive. I have to wonder if it was a matter of some misconfiguration of something … somewhere …
I'm sorry Dave, afraid I can't do that
I will never own an apple anything. This is a perfect example why. F- apple and F- Facebook too.
So this is hitting the Apple press, too: http://www.macworld.com/article/2998158/streaming-media/siri-rebuffs-music-questions-unless-you-subscribe-to-apple-music.html
I do suspect it's a bug (I mean, really, could they be that alienatingly stupid?), but it's an unfortunate one.
I will be curious to see what Apple has to (eventually) say.
So it's been at least 24 hours since this story broke — and nothing from Apple? That's not good.
@ Dave Hill. Apple is like dealing with Communists. That's just what they are and the way they are. Think about it. Do some research on the company, how they were founded and what they've become and how there employees are treated and the billions of dollars they make everyday. Its not right.
+Ramsey Last Lots of companies make billions of dollars every day. If that's a negative, it affects more than Apple.
I'd like to hear more about how Apple is like the Communists (vs any other ideological autocracy).
Still nothing further about this story from Apple, as far as I can see, though they have managed to muddle up the results by talking about Siri and Apple Music and Apple TV coming convergence.
I'm not trying to argue. Yes it's true many companies make in the billions. That was only a third of my conversation though. Research, research, research… That's what I'm really trying to get across. 😛
