In a sane world, Glenn Beck's endorsement would be an automatic disqualification for president.

"I have prayed for the next George Washington," Beck said of Cruz. "I believe I have found him."

Yes, that would be George Washington, the hyper-religious, hyper-partisan, pro-foreign-intervention, deep-seated supporter of militia movements. Just like Ted Cruz.

Yeesh. As Santayana didn't (alas) say, "Those who forget history will be mocked by those who haven't."

Just back from a week-long vacation up into Yellowstone and back down through the plains of SD, WY, NE.

And since we were in Nebraska, and so much brouhaha has been raised of late about #Runza ... we stopped at one to try it out.

I will not say it was life-changing, because it wasn't, but the car consensus is that it was tasty and worth stopping at again in the future ... should we be again in Nebraska.
