Glad to see the loser lose, not so happy to see the winner win

I mean, sure, I'm happy to see Donald Trump come in second in Iowa. On the other hand, that means Ted Cruz came in first, about which I find nothing to cheer.

  1. +Dave Walker The Republican establishment (i.e., his coworkers) doesn't like him. How the GOP voters respond may be a different matter. I'd like to think they'd be unenthused enough to let the Dem nominee in, but I'd hate to think of Cruz actually making it to the White House.

  2. Cruz is a deranged sociopath (a quote stolen from Andy Borowitz, but stolen because it is dead-on) whose stated goals would effectively take us back to the 14th century. Unfortunately, many Americans seem to like the idea of life in the 14th century: Wealth and church as sources of power uber alles — all controlled by white men, of course — enforced by a military the peasants have no hope of defeating. Oh, and let's not forget the women are subservient to men part, even in the lower classes.
