Well, no, that's probably unfair. But the GOP head of the House Transportation Committee did just successfully get a Nay vote on a proposal that would let the FAA study the health and safety issues around increasingly narrower airline seats with less leg room, and allow the FAA to set minimum standards for same.
Not surprisingly, Rep. Bill Shuster (R-Pa.), the chairperson of the committee, counts air transport PACs as his largest contributor.
