A well written, gorgeously graphic novel of the classic Japanese tale. Highly recommended.
***Dave Hill’s review of 47 Ronin
An excellent adaptation of Japan’s classic 47 Ronin tale, illustrated by the incomparable Stan Sakai (Usagi Yojimbo). The story structure has no happy ending for the Western eye — instead, it is a tale of duty and fate and honor that, inevitably, must end sadly but fittingly. Still, triffic stuff.

I've seen no less than four versions of this on film. THe Japanese version was long and measured.

Glad you finally got around to reading it.
+Stan Pedzick I'd actually bought the individual issues along the way, but it's definitely better reading the full one tale between the same covers.
