Some of these stats couldn’t be completed until final reports were in for the Federal Fiscal Year ending in September. Overall, it makes for interesting reading, and reference, as the Trump Administration makes its way forward. And, with some notable exceptions, they are numbers that any president could be proud of, especially given the shape the country was in when Obama took office.
Obama’s Final Numbers – FactCheck.org
The numbers are nearly all in now. What they show about what really happened during the eight years that Barack Obama was president is sometimes different from what politicians claimed.

EXCELLENT
Nothing but left wing crap all ran by cnn , msnbc , . All smoke and mirrors the bottom line is since obama the racial tension in this great country has never been worse and if you cant see that then you are brain washed by all the news media and these great hollywood actors who think there opinion is important
+Troy weaver Thank you for that cogent, insightful, considered, and engaging response.
1. Most of the numbers (I haven't checked every link) don't come from media outlets. They come from the government statistics.
2. I think you're suggesting (the "bottom line") that racial tension is more important than any of the other statistics cited. I profoundly disagree. Though, to be fair,, many of the statistics involved are influencers of, and influenced by, racial tension.
3. In either case, your implication that Obama is responsible for the racial tension seems ill-founded, since he was attacked for his race from the time he started to campaign for president — though it's true that, as the first black US president, every time he commented on race he was immediately accused by his opponents of being divisive, just for talking about race.
4. If I shouldn't listen to "these great hollywood actors who think there opinion is important," even if they know basic grammar, then why should I listen to you?
I've already figured out the answer to that last one.
+Dave Hill Awesome reply. Thank you, as I was about to do it myself.
Why has this scumbag traitor not faced a Firing Squad?
+Troy weaver do you have anything to refute the article besides your imagination?
Interesting stats, but I notice that you omitted to include the national debt that nearly doubled to over $19 billion during Obama's reign, a catastrophe that the country will dearly pay for in the future.
What's another $ 10Trillion debt from Barry ?? Nothing to see here , move along now….
+Michael Bramlett Troy can't hear you. (At least, any more from a thread owned by me.)
+Dave Hill ahh that explains it.
Naice
+John Edwards Actually, there's a substantial section devoted to them ("Debt and Deficits," about halfway down the page).
Certainly not a happy thing, though I think failing to stimulate the economy would have been far more catastrophic.
+Dave Hill Yes, that's the excuse Obama used to bail out Banks. A perfect opportunity to impose some conditions on the Bank's behavior in the future, but for some reason?? completely ignored by the administration. End result, only the little man suffered, non of the institutions that caused the fiasco (with the exception of Lehman Brothers). Contrast this with Iceland, where the banks were made to suffer for their indiscretions, but are now thriving – with no debt payed for by the taxpayer.
+John Edwards Much more was done with that spending than bailing out the banks (just as other bailouts were done at the tail end of the Bush Administration, for similar reasons).
I concur completely that far more vigorous regulation of the banks should have been done. There was quite a bit done in bank regulation (including the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau), but the response was more muted than it should have been both because of the financial industry folk in the Obama Administration and because of that industry's influence on Congress (and the GOP getting a filibuster-proof minority in the Senate as of January 2010).
How sweet to silence someone because of how they feel. So, the truth is what you say it is huh ?
+Chris Bucci No, but the truth doesn't come from leading and ending with namecalling, either.
You really do seem to have landed on the troll list in the last week or so.
+Dave Hill I guess I missed a deleted post. I didn't see name calling on the one post. Not that I like him but most anyone deserves to be able to speak.
+Chris Bucci Started with "Nothing but left wing crap" and ended with " if you cant see that then you are brain washed", with nothing more substantive in the middle.
I am a believer in people being able to speak, but this is a broad, broad platform, and anyone can speak as they wish on it. If they want to speak in a post which I originally made, I do ask that they do so constructive — not necessarily in agreement, but with something more than "You're a brainwashed poo-poo head" level of rhetoric. (See https://plus.google.com/u/0/+DaveHill47/posts/CsKfTCmnMpA for more on that.)
I may also have looked at the person's profile and, based on their other posts, decided I don't need to hear them here. I can't say (since their content is blocked to me, now, too), but I usually don't block someone for just a single comment.
Everyone deserves to have a chance to speak. Not everyone needs to be obliged to listen.
+Dave Hill Wow. Thank you for the time and thought put into that response. Very gentlemanly. For that, combined with his response, I must agree with you. Thank you again.
+Chris Bucci And thank you as well.
President Obama is the best of number one for the us Americans
