No Hypotenuse for You!
They’ve shrouded all the diagonal crossing lights in downtown Denver, and have started restriping the crosswalk lines. No more Barnes Dance.
UPDATE: I have no idea if people were confused or simply didn’t spot the autocorrect/misspelling of “Hypotenuse” as “Hypnotenuse.” Corrected.
Establishing the Photographic Record
While not doing anything quite as cool/’ as Kate’s Picture-of-the-Day project (summarized here), we did take a boatload of photos this year and — with some small exceptions — I now have them all online, including our Disney and Holiday pix.

I’ve downloaded and consolidated and edited and cleaned up two new sets of photos, now up in Flickr: March-April of this year, and the Great Closet Caper.
With any luck, this is a harbinger of our actually getting our photo collection more under control. Which would be a good thing, because we didn’t get much done in 2009, I’ll tell you.

Why Arizona Sandstone may not have been the best choice for decor materials on the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver. This is from ground level at the SW doorway, but a lot of the sandstone accent-work on the 117-year-old building is similarly damaged from the elements. Sad …
