The “Good vs. Evil” edition is announced — but if you want, you can actually buy all the “goody” premiums:
* Jump Jet Prestige Power
* “Pocket D” VIP Card Teleport Power
* Exclusive Hero and Villain Costumes
No prices listed as yet. Not seeing anything here that I’m just obsessed about getting, unless the price is very low.
I have to wonder if the new VIP Card Teleport Power allows you to TP into pocket D from anywhere. Or it might just let you TP into those places where you aren’t suppose to be able to TP into in Pocket D – maybe the dance cages?
Also saw that you can get the buy powers without buying the whole new edition.
It could be a rumour. It could be a dream. It could be anyhthing…
I like the Body Debit Cards, though.
From the LJ CoH Community:
Good vs Evil In-Game Powers Kit: $9.99
I heard from Cricket today as to how much the in-game features pack for the City of Heroes: Good vs Evil box (whereby you can buy an upgrade code on-line to get just the prestige powers and costume parts without buying the disc itself) will cost.
$9.99.
That’s right, less than a ten-spot. I doubt it will come with the free month or ability to create a brand new game account (for use with a downloaded client) that the boxed set will include, or else it would be competing with the full-price $50 game keys that Cryptic sells on-line.But we’ll see.
There’s also been a bit more about the jump jet from various sources. Check the threads in the Dev Digest to see them, but fundamentally, the jump jet will…
be a 30-second time-limited toggle (like Phase Shift), with a 150-second base recharge time
provide a vertical movement boost when used without a travel power; you retain the forward running momentum you started with, you’ll just jump a lot higher
apparently provide the ability for a “double jump” by hitting the space bar again on the way down
allow superleapers to jump higher and farther
allow superspeeders to jump long distances
allow fliers to fly faster
allow teleporters to lengthen the duration of between-port hovering by pressing the space bar
$10 seems like a small price to pay for something like that, plus new costume pieces and a Pocket D body-debit card too.
