If you have this on your bookshelf or your mother’s bookshelf, take it down and read it again. It is a real treasure. When I found this in a used bookstore years ago, I bought it because my mother had a copy of it and it reminded me of home when I was far away. Now I have rediscovered the wonderful cookbook behind the familiar blue cover. Recipes range from simple to complex, mundane to elegant.
I have not read the revised edition currently available, just the original hardcover. I hope that they haven
