After the “Lutheran Inquisition,” I was hoping not to be embarrassed by any Christians for at least a few days. Then I get to read this, in which an old biddy, having guilted a helpful gentleman into helping her change her tire, heaps abuse upon his head when she discovers that he’s (gasp!) a pagan … and then (as if not having plumbed the depths of being a nasty hypocrite already), she’s flabbergasted and outraged when he won’t put her tools away in her trunk.
As one person on Blogatelle‘s page suggested, “That’s not Christianity … that’s Ass-holiness.” And at the risk of (gasp) quoting Scripture here, I’d suggest that the lady in question might consider rereading the Parable of the Good Samaritan a few thousand times. On her knees. On the gravelly pavement.
Bitch.
*pat, pat, pat*
I’m going to give you a special support place in my next skin. 😀
Phhhhtttt… What can you do? Lutheran’s are taught to fear and hate other religions. In their mind Pagans are… well, you already know what they think. Ignorance. Pure ignorance. As far as the link to the Lutheran Inquisition. I was raised Wisconsin Synod Lutheran, and the Pastor at the the church I grew up in was asked to quit because he attended a seminar on other religions. The “other” religion?… Missouri Synod Lutheranism! It’s sad that they’re so controlled and blinded by their religion, but we’re not going to change their minds. They’re coming from years and years of brainwashing. Sad.
