It’s the Friday Five!

(Sensing some sort of pattern here …)

1. What are your favorite ways to relax and unwind? Reading. Watching something fun on TV (or video). Blogging. Blowing up things in first person shooters.

2. What do you do the moment you get home from work/school/errands? Check my e-mail and blog comments. Pretty sad, eh?

3. What are your favorite aromatherapeutic smells? I’m not a believer in aromatherapy. I do like fruit smells, and spices. Since I’ve been drinking tea at work, my office has a nice spicy/citrusy aroma to it when I enter it each morning.

4. Do you feel more relaxed with a group of friends or hanging out by yourself? Yes.

Actually, I’ve grown much more social over the past several years. Once upon a time, it would have been unequivocably hanging out by myself. But these days, I enjoy (and am relaxed by) social activities, too.

5. What is something that you feel is relaxing but most people don’t? In the right frame of mind, I can find yard work (or doing the dishes) quite relaxing. Sort of a “getting things in order” relaxation, something relatively mindless that lets my brain rest while I actually accomplish something. Most people look at me kind of crazy when I say that.

(I also do much the same thing on those rare occasions when Margie and I have a fight — clean, do the dishes, tidy. Probably for much the same reason. Still, I guess that means it’s a good thing that the house is so messy so much of the time, right?)
