It’s the All About You meme. Or, I guess, when I do it, the All About Me meme.

1) What image is on your desktop? (include a screen capture if you can!)2) Which websites do you visit most? (gimme links!)3) What are you obsessed by?4) Name one artist/musician/writer that inspires you (pick one or more)?5) What are you working on now (outside of your journal)?6) What do you read in bed?7) Favorite city? Why?8) To you, what qualifies as a good celebration?9) If you only had 3 albums of music to take to a desert island, what would they be and why?10) If you could do anything else with your life, what would it be?11) What keeps you awake at night?12) And finally, any famous last words?
Be verbose.

  1. What image is on your desktop? (include a screen capture if you can!) Maxfield Parrish’s Ecstasy, on a navy blue background.
  2. Which websites do you visit most? (gimme links!): Um … see the linklist in the sidebar. In addition to those sites, I frequently visit Google, Snopes, my wiki, the support pages for MTBlacklist and MTClient, and (at work) the ever-popular Mail2Web.

  3. What are you obsessed by? Sorry, I don’t have enough storage space here to answer that question. And the list keeps changing. Though Margie and Katherine are both pretty constantly there.

  4. Name one artist/musician/writer that inspires you (pick one or more)? That inspires me? Hmmm. For artists, I’d probably have to name one of these folk, but I’d hate to have to narrow it down. And that doesn’t count “comic book”/graphic arts artists (Perez, Adams, Mignola, Miller). For musicians, it would likely be one of the classics — Beethoven, Bach, Vivaldi — or maybe one of the great movie music composers — Williams, Barry, Herrmann, Shore, Jarre, etc.

  5. What are you working on now (outside of your journal)? Trying to get things ready for my game on Sunday.

  6. What do you read in bed? I don’t read as much in bed as I used to, largely because Margie usually crashes before I do. When I do, though, it’s usually comics I’m trying to finish up.

  7. Favorite city? Why? I’m in love with Denver. I love the climate (all told), I love scenery, I love what I can do here. To visit, though, I’d have to say London: so much to see, so easy to get around, and lots of great pubs and Indian places.

  8. To you, what qualifies as a good celebration? Good friends, lots of laughter, some nice wine, resolution that “we need to do this more often.”

  9. If you only had 3 albums of music to take to a desert island, what would they be and why? Rrg. Bach’s Brandenberg Concertos. Pet Shop Boys’ Actually. Um … and an album of about 6Gb of MP3s …

  10. If you could do anything else with your life, what would it be? As trite as it sounds, I’d like to travel a lot more. And write a lot more.

  11. What keeps you awake at night? Things left undone that ought not to have been. #3 and #10 stuff. Time. Money. Work. All the usual jazz.

  12. And finally, any famous last words? I sure hope so.
