MT 3.11, kindasorta

More to follow, but the basic MT 3.11 install is complete … with a few interface oddities behind (hopefully only) the scenes….

  1. And, yes, there are doubtless a lot of little things broken. Top priority will be getting MT-Blacklist installed, before I tackle those. (The most obvious is the Ping info at the top of the main page, which I knew was going to be a problem.)

  2. Whew!

Okay, so I got MT-Blacklist 2.x installed. As slick and spiffy as the original one was, the controls on this are outstanding, almost worth doing the MT3 upgrade for.

It includes some additional comment throttling controls, including forcing moderation for comments with more than X URLs in them, and forcing moderation for comments to posts more than Y days old (that have not been commented upon in the last Z days). Also very nice. I have those set liberally at the moment, but will probably play with them in the future.

The MT-Blacklist install was nearly flawless. The install instructions weren’t clear as to the directory to load stuff to (some of the material goes in the root of MT, some goes into the plugins/Blacklist directory, and those are the directories of the plugin stuff zip file); I fumbled around with that slightly until I had it figured out.
