We had our parish picnic Sunday afternoon. Better attendance than in years past, and a lot more organized activities, including some of the events below.

The pictures from my Treo are a scosh blurry, alas. Katherine is the one in the yellow shirt, blue denim skort, and triple-pigtails.

First off, the sack race. Katherine was in the lead all the way to the turn, then tripped on the way back and never got her rhythm (or competitive edge) back for the rest of the race.

Next is the egg carry, for kids. Katherine actually either won or tied this one. She got the balance/trotting thing down quickly.

Finally, the classic three-legged race. Katherine was going to run with me, but (sniff) decided to run with Sarah instead. They did okay, somewhere mid-pack.

Margie and I ran shortly thereafter; mercifully, nobody was taking pictures of that.
