I really like this idea. Just like NASCAR drivers wear overalls with all their sponsors clearly marked, wouldn’t it be great if politicians did the same? Well, great for the voters, anyway.
Sure, you’d want to set some sort of threshold of size or percent of all contributions or something. But it would be interesting, to say the least, to see who was supporting whom (and even more amusing to see cases where PACs and other organizations were “supporting” multiple and competing candidates).
See, I don’t mind political contributions. I really do think that represents free speech, and trying to stop them or regulate them overly much just causes problems and cheating and further distortions of the poltical system. I just want them to be visible.
