  1. Just how long was the trip? Our 1200-mile drive to Washington one year ago next week took 24 hours because of the huge storm covering the Pacific Northwest.

  2. 1200-plus miles (I think around 1240), and nineteen hours. Aside from quick rest stops and refuelings, our only delay was a short dinner break, plus some road work in middle-nowhere desert.
