So I’m mildly freaking out over my trip to the Netherlands next week. Now, I realize that the Netherlands is probably one of the most visitor-friendly places I could go on the Continent, most everyone speaks English, and I’ll be spending the majority of my time in meetings or with the group. But it’s still a foreign country, they still have stuff printed in a strange language, they still have different voltages and strange laws, and I’m still going to be gone for a week. So I keep making lists of things I need to do between now and then; it’s even possible I’ll get through all those items.
A few things I do know. First, my Net connectivity is likely to be limited. The hotel I’m at (and where the meetings are) offers connections for 5 euros per hour. Ouch. Assuming my Blackberry works (I have it back now, theoretically tied into the rest of the world), I may post mainly with pictures.
Another thing is the weather, which, gaging from this week, hovers around 50 degrees (just over during the day, just under at night), and rainy. So bringing an umbrella, waterproof shoes, and a jacket.
More as I worry about it …
Here, I’ll add to it.
Beer is served in Half-pints. ;P
Actually, I’m looking forward to trying the gin/jenniver, young and old.
