If only to keep the story straight in my own head …
Thursday
- Picked up the parents at the airport in the afternoon.
- Ate dinner over at Via Baci.
Friday
-
Went to the Colorado History Museum. Never been before — some good exhibits there on Denver and state history. They’re moving into new quarters real soon now.[No, we didn’t – that was with Mary the previous weekend.] -
Went over to the Denver Art Museum. Got stuck over on the contemporary art side. Even the cute “Fox Games” couldn’t make up for it.[Nope, that was with Mary, too.] - Dinner at Fogo de Chao, downtown. Ohmygodtheyummy. Plus, caiparinha.
Saturday
- Hung out.
- Had friends come over in the late afternoon for a “make your own burrito” grilling extravaganza. Lots of food, wine, fun.
Sunday
- Church.
- Hung out.
- Picked up stuff we’d done at Arts on Fire last weekend with Mary. Margie’s blue glass plate is stunning, and could probably be resold for three times the cost (a cottage industry in case we ever need to supplement our income).
- Went to Doyce & Kate’s to play games, eat food, have yet more fun.
Monday
- Went to the Denver Botanic Gardens for the first time in over a year. The new parking building is nearly complete (and partially open), the new visitor center likewise. Good time.
- Ate dinner at Il Fornaio, which is doing a benefit menu this week for victims of the Abruzzo earthquake. Yummy, though the service wasn’t anything special.
Tuesday
- Got the parents off to the airport.
- Time to start working (and dieting) again!
Unless you visited twice, the Colorado History Museum and the Art Museum, were the week before with me.
Now that I’ve learned how bad your memory is, I won’t take it personally.
Yeah … that didn’t sound quite right (going downtown to tour, then taking the train downtown later to dinner). I think we actually ended up just hanging out. Hmmm. *sigh*
~Laughs~
So many guests that Dave must be forgetting which weekend he is on. =P
I’m just the social butterfly, y’know.
