A faceless, soulless Washington bureaucracy? Or a profit-minded big-media monopoly? Given the choice between the two, I vote for the bureaucracy, if only because I indirectly vote for their bosses through the political system. Somehow, somewhere, the government is out to satisfy me to a sufficient extent that I vote for the status quo. Comcast doesn’t give a bloody rip as to whether I’m satisfied, unless it means I figure out a way to get broadband and cable without them.
