So I’m going ahead and rolling my current company Blackberry Curve over to AT&T on a month-to-month family plan. That gets me from behind the deadline, and let’s me do a bit more research on what it is I want to do. The cost comes to about what the company’s giving me a bump in salary.
My current obsession intention is the Droid Incredible from HTC, which is running on everyone’s favorite carrier, Verizon, and is actually now Google’s recommendation for a Verizon phone (the Verizon version of the Nexus One is apparently canceled).
But now that we have a moment or two to breathe, I can look further into it, get an order in through the backlog, look at getting something set up in a family plan with Margie (whose phone is on Verizon), etc.
Onward and upward!
Okay, I will confess that the scenario of (a) getting a new, unreleased Verizon phone while (b) starting up a new family plan with (c) getting Margie’s phone on with (d) the company discount she gets (assuming (d) it’s better than the company discount I get, assuming (e) I get one still) while dealing with the finite possibility that (f) Margie’s phone might get booted off the company network as unauthorized real soon now …
… makes me think that we need to just go into a Verizon store and chat with someone, rather than try to get the stars to align on the Verizon site.
Just not sure when we’re going to get around to it before next week.
Our phones are verizon too – do not remember plan, but one verizon rep said it was better discount than his!
Gah! Complicating … further …!
